Advocacy, Inc. is a nonprofit agency comprised of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program and the Patients’ Rights Advocate Program. Our mission is to protect the rights of seniors and disabled adults who live in assisted-living & skilled nursing facilities & individuals with mental health needs. We serve these vulnerable individuals through advocacy, education, and intervention.
Advocacy, Inc. is the only nonprofit agency providing these state and federal mandated services in Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties.
The BOARD determines the mission of the Agency and its policies; monitors and evaluates the goals and financial stability of the Agency; and authorizes and participates in Agency fundraising efforts. We are an enthusiastic Board who enjoys the challenges and rewards of contributing to the Agency’s functioning and growth. We welcome fresh ideas and new perspectives that will contribute to our continuing mission.
